A Golden Retriever Stranded On Mountain For Two Weeks Gets Rescued By Two Doctors

A Golden Retriever Stranded On Mountain For Two Weeks Gets Rescued By Two Doctors

Belle Ava August 31, 2022

Doctors not only save human lives. In some special cases, they may extend help to animals, too.

Two doctors prove just that after saving a Golden Retriever that was stranded on a snowy mountain in Ireland for two weeks.

What the doctors did was definitely inspiring. If you need a mood booster, just keep reading this heartwarming and optimistic story.

The Golden Retriever on a snowy mountain

According to some reports, two doctors named Ciara Nolan and Jean Francois Bonnet were hiking on a mountain called Lugnaquilla, which was part of the Wicklow range. As they neared the summit, they stumbled upon the eight-year-old dog named Neesha.

According to Jean, the dog was curling herself up against a large rock when they found her. She was shivering, and she didn’t even have the energy to stand or bark.

To warm the dog up, Ciara and Jean wrapped some clothes around her. Then, they carried her back down the slope, pursuing a 10-kilometer journey.

A video of the doctors’ rescue was uploaded to TikTok where it received warm responses from the netizens. Currently, the heartwarming clip has more than four million views, 886.5K likes, 14.8K shares, and 11.7K comments.

Ciara and Jean took the cold dog home. They fed her to help her regain her strength, and they even warmed her up more. Eventually, they were able to contact a local animal service who then found Neesha’s real owners: the Goetelens.

So what really happened to Neesha?

Apparently, the pup accidentally strayed from her family two weeks prior. While the Goetelens were on their walk on the same mountain, Neesha and another family dog ran after a deer. According to the Goetelen matriarch named Irena, the other dog returned the next day while Neesha didn’t show up.

Irena’s family is so happy and relieved now that Neesha is with them again. She says that her family has no words to thank both the doctors for their compassion.
