Over 6 months ago, Pat Livesay’s beloved pooch, Blue, went missing from his home in Tennessee. Distressed, Pat tried searching day and night — but to no avail.
Soon, he had to move to Texas for work. He then assumed that he’ll never see the dog ever again.
But 200 days since Blue was gone, Pat got a message from a friend including a video of a pooch playing with a ball. The dog was Blue at Washington County, TN Animal Shelter!
The said kennel named him Bones, and in the video clip, the pup could be seen showing off his fetching skills. Pat, therefore, commented saying that the pooch was Blue, his boy, who had been missing since the end of March. He also asked to direct him as to how to get the pup back.
So, the shelter’s staff messaged Pat, and he instantly drove 1,200 miles to finally be reunited with Blue.
The moment Pat and Blue saw each other, the devoted owner began to cry because of happiness, while the pup responded by giving him lots of kisses.
In the footage taken after the reunion, Pat can be overheard saying again and again that Blue is his boy and he missed him immensely.
The bond and love for each other were obvious to everyone who saw the touching reunion. Pat thanked the kennel for giving great care to his boy. And when it was right time to go home, Blue jumped into the car wearing a huge smile on his face.
The feel-good story became so popular on social media and the shelter added that this is the reason why we should never quit.
Many people commented on the touching story. One of them said that it was incredible, then spoke well of Pat who drove 1200 miles to fetch his pup—saying it was love. Another stated that it’s how pets are supposed to be loved. The last one mentioned that Blue is a gorgeous dog, the two obviously are fit to be together for life, and it’s happy to see that the gentleman got his wonderful pup back.
