It’s amazing to see how total strangers can care so much for a random dog. Because of their love for these furry friends, they are willing to do anything to help a pooch whenever they can. For this woman in Dallas, she gave her all in rescuing a stolen dog.
It all started when Angela Ream, the hooman of chocolate Labrador named Wiley, was taking her usual walk along with her doggo. As they continued on with their day, Angela had to stop by Trader Joe’s to pick up some milk. So she left Wiley at the doggie dock outside the grocery with her leash secured.
But when she came out, her dog was no longer there. Angela took the search for her missing pooch on social media, just in case anyone would find Wiley. After a few days, a woman named Alyssa Sanderford happened to be driving by Mockingbird Lane when she saw a dog that looked like Wiley who also had a bright orange collar like the photo on Facebook.
Alyssa didn’t know Angela but they had a mutual friend who reposted the dog poster so Alyssa was able to see it too. So when Alyssa recognized the dog, she immediately pulled over and approached the man who was holding Wiley.
She confronted the man saying that she knows that this dog was stolen and he needed to return the pooch. The man kept on denying Alyssa’s allegations and was getting annoyed. She then grabbed the dog’s leash and the man was certainly not happy about it and started running away from her.
Alyssa thought that she had to stop the guy who stole Wiley away from her hooman so she chased down the man running through a neighborhood. Some people saw her running and joined Alyssa, including some guys from a nearby Goodwill. The guys were able to get a hold of the man and waited until Angela and the police came.
Angela who was also pregnant at the time was worried sick about Wiley who she treated like her own child. She couldn’t be more thankful to Alyssa for putting such effort into rescuing her beloved doggo even though they were strangers. Since then, the two women have really become friends because of their shared love for Wiley.
