If you love the outdoors, you most likely have an outdoorsy pooch who accompanies you on your adventures. Camping, swimming, and hiking with our dogs can be some of the fun ways to enjoy some fresh air together. And that is why pup siblings Winter and Summer often accompany their fur parents on trips.
On one of their explorations, Summer accidentally slid down the rock. Fortunately, she was obedient and listened to her parents to stay put. But her fur parents knew that they needed to rescue their pup.
Vickie and Bill Bagshaw, Summer’s fur parents, are members of the Utah ATV Association, a nonprofit organization. The organization’s president, Steven Hawkins, was also there when the dog fell. Their group underwent proper training and had the necessary supplies. Hawkins climbed down and hoisted the poor dog back up. Some friends and even strangers helped to rescue the pup.
A video of how the group rescued Summer was taken and uploaded on social media. In the video, you can see the pup looking up from her position as Hawkins approached. The obedient pooch remained still so she wouldn’t slide down the steep rock any further.
According to Vickie, she was afraid of heights. However, at that moment, she couldn’t think about her fear. She was only focused on her dog’s safety.
Because the couple’s friends and fellow adventurers did not hesitate to save her, Summer was safe after such a scary day. Miraculously, nobody was hurt during the incident.
After this exhilarating and terrifying experience, the fur mom thanked those who highly value a dog’s life. She said they knew they had incredible friends, but the incident solidified this friendship and made them a lot closer. And as for Summer, this incident will not prevent her from going on more adventures.
