Two months ago, the story of a dog rescued from a construction site in Chicago occupied the news. The reason for this is that the pooch named Parmesan Crisp was diagnosed with auto-immune disorder Juvenile Cellulitis otherwise known as the Puppy Strangles.
Due to this health condition, the dog needed costly care. Since the pooch is a rescued dog, the animal shelter, One Tail At A Time, could not afford the treatment. It was One Tail At A Time that rescued the pooch.
The animal shelter, however, refused to give up on the condition of the dog. One Tail At A Time vowed that they would do everything to help the pooch recuperate from the disease. At the same time, they also want to find potential adopters for the pooch.
With this resolve, the animal shelter posted on their Facebook page regarding the dog’s dilemma. The post reached several dog-loving individuals, including the locals from Chicago. The people of Chicago, in turn, heeded to the animal shelter’s request and rallied to chip in the needed money for Parmesan Crisp’s medical needs.
In a separate Instagram post, the group made an update about the dog’s condition. The post said that Parmesan Crisp is doing good with the medication. This would not be possible without the help of the people from Chicago. The group likewise thanked the donors because they were able to generate enough funds to help the dog’s medical needs.
In the same way, the animal shelter was glad to announce that Parmesan Crisp already has a new loving owner. While the animal shelter did not divulge who adopted the pooch, they posted a photo of the dog with her new master.
In the photo, it can also be seen that Parmesan Crisp grew taller. The previously wounded face of the dog likewise healed, and the dog looked healthier compared before.
