Christine Moran is a proud fur mom of two adorable pups named Lucy and Luke. Both pups are rescue pups, and Christine has made it her goal to give the two of them the best life they could ever live. For Christine, each day is a new day for her to show her fur babies just how much she loves them. But one day, their happy bubble was shattered when Luke got himself into a terrible accident.
Ever since Luke was a pup, he has always been very curious about things. But this time, Luke’s curiosity led him to big trouble. According to Christine, Luke somehow managed to sneak out of their fenced yard and head towards Roanoke Avenue, where the pup was hit by a car.
Luke had many severe injuries; he fractured his shoulders and injured his hips and lungs. He had to depend on an oxygen tank for a long time before his lungs healed enough so he could go through surgery, which made his recovery bills expensive. But Christine was not letting the number of bills make her give up on her beloved pup.
As of now, the pup’s lungs have improved, but his shoulders are still broken. Christine said that for Luke’s shoulders, the vet would need to implant plates on him. Though it will take much time for the pup to recover, the vets are positive that Luke will survive and recover in due time. However, Luke needs your help so he can get back on his feet again.
The vets have estimated that it will cost around $10,000 to treat Luke’s injuries. Christine acknowledged that her pup’s bills are expensive, but if that’s what it will cost for her pup to get well, then she is very willing to pay for it. Christine already took a $5,000 loan, but she needs more. So she reached out to her families and friends in hopes that they can help her fund Luke’s medical bills.
Christine set a GoFundMe for Luke, and through that, they were able to receive about $8,000 from fellow dog lovers, families, and friends. Still, Luke needs more funds to cover his bills. If you would like to support Luke’s recovery, please go ahead and donate to his GoFundMe. We hope that very soon, Luke will get fully recovered!
