Our quirky manners and traits are integral to our overall personality. Our unique personalities, no matter how weird, bring life and color to all of our relationships, familial or otherwise.
Animals, especially our canine buddies, also have their own idiosyncrasies, making them all the more endearing and special.
The story of an adorable pup’s strange preference when it came to her toys recently went viral. Her unusual attachment to her chosen toy actually paved the way for more bonding time with her doting parents.
Farley, a highly energetic Australian shepherd, entered her owner’s world when she was a puppy and managed to settle in quite comfortably. She was a lovable rascal who got into adventures around their home.
Todd and Victoria Stuart, her owners, loved her completely and anticipated her antics every day. They gave in to her every wish and fancy, treating her like a precious queen.
One particularly unusual quirk this pup had was her passion for door stoppers. Ever since she was a tiny pup, Farley discovered the joys of playing with these metal springs, loving how bouncy and unpredictable their movements were. Despite the numerous dog toys her owners gave her, door stoppers were still her favorite.
One of Farley’s followers on social media suggested that a board with different door stoppers attached to it might be something the precious pup will appreciate. The couple agreed that it was a brilliant idea and decided to give it to their beloved pooch as a Christmas present. Todd planned and assembled the entire thing, using 25 door stoppers.
On Christmas morning, Farley was presented with her special gift. It took just a few seconds for her to understand how it worked, but soon she went crazy over how amazing it was. She loved her present and played with it all day long.
Farley’s obsession with door stoppers seemed peculiar to others, but her parents supported her choice anyway. As long as it made their fur baby happy, they were willing to put up with her favorite toy.
