With millions of amazing dogs out there looking for their forever homes, the campaign entitled “Adopt, Don’t Shop” deserves every dog lover’s attention. Shelters nowadays haven taken various initiatives to up their game in finding the perfect homes and families for these adorable creatures, and this senior dog is no exception.
Sparky, is an eight-year-old pitbull-mix, and all he ever wanted is to find his forever family. Coming from an unpleasant past, he remains headstrong and determined to his quest of finding his “the one.” The Second Chance Rescue posted an ad describing him as easy-going, a sucker for adventures, and a reliable co-pilot. Who could resist that? He’s quite the steal if you ask me.
Senior dogs are known to be great companions. They strike a balance between someone who’s domesticated (they are often house-trained), and adventurous (behaves nicely on a leash). Their flexible nature makes them the perfect pal for just about every household needing a four-legged addition to their families.
Sparky may be well behind his youthful years, but don’t let his looks fool you a he’s always up for an adventure each chance he gets. Though if you feel like just staying in the comforts of your home, he’s great at cuddling, too. This excellent guy gets along with other dogs quickly, though having cats around ruffles him a bit. He loves all the affection and the shelter staff’s company, that is for sure, but he feels better off finding a home where he can be cherished and treated to tasty treats and a warm bed for good.
Dogs have proven time and again that they are indeed man’s best friend, and that life is better having them around. Let’s make this happen for Sparky, and spread the word for all interested fur-parents to see.
