Millions – that’s the number of people whose lives have changed because of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Some of them managed to find ways to protect themselves and their families from bombs and bullets. Others, however, weren’t as lucky.
This war is a devastating chapter in everyone’s history. But, despite that, it’s also shown everyone that kindness still exists. Interestingly, one of the stories that prove this is about an adorable puppy rescued by Ukrainian soldiers.
The beginning of a wonderful friendship
The night was already deep when they found him. Aside from the cold, the poor thing was also shivering because of fear. He was alone, so the soldiers decided to take him with them.
They found him a warm, cozy spot at their base so he could sleep comfortably. The soldiers couldn’t get over how cute he was; they ended up naming him “Rambo.”
The tiny watchdog
It didn’t take long for the pupper to warm up to his new friends. He’d spend each day hanging out with them. However, as much as he enjoys the company of his newfound friends, it’s his canine siblings that he loves playing with the most.
The soldiers then decided to train Rambo and the other pooches to become watchdogs. They know that these animals can see, hear, and smell things that humans can’t, so they decided to make good use of their skills. They trained the canine squad to become watchdogs.
In a video uploaded by Freedom News, Rambo can be seen strutting around the base. On some days, he’d go around and expect every nook and cranny, as if making sure that his soldier friends were out of harm’s way.
As of writing, the video has over 23,000 views. It was originally uploaded last February 17, but it went viral a day after the war between the two countries started. Know more about the adorable watchdog in the video below:
