Losing someone you loved and essential to your life is one of the worst nightmares you could ever feel. It’s like you were together all along, then it’s just a snap of a finger; you are left alone. But what more if your most beloved dog goes missing without leaving a trail?
An older woman from England called the police to report that her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had gone missing for two days. The 93-year-old woman told the police that she was distraught because she hadn’t seen her dog, Toby, for two days.
After days of searching by her family and friends to find Toby, a police officer went to her house to investigate Toby and check if the woman was in good shape.
As the police officer and older woman conversed, the officer bent down to pick up a thing that fell on the floor. Suddenly, the officer saw something furry staring at her. It’s Toby trapped under the woman’s reclining chair.
Toby was under the chair and quietly stuck for two days without motion. Fortunately, the officer carefully releases Toby from his position, and he is in a good state, aside from being hungry and thirsty.
The officer shared that it was a massive relief for the woman to be reunited with Toby. All her family, friends, and neighbors searched for Toby, but as time passed, she became distressed, assuming that Toby managed to get out and fear the worst.
Before the officer left the older woman’s house, Toby had his meal and drink. The love and the bond between a woman and the dogs are immeasurable.
It’s not just an ordinary pet-owner relationship that makes the story exceptional from others, but the officer clearly understood that the pets are also family members.
