Meet The Poodle That Has The Ability To Help Its Owner Conserve Energy And Water

Meet The Poodle That Has The Ability To Help Its Owner Conserve Energy And Water

Belle Ava September 2, 2023

A man in South Korea shares his home with a poodle named Sawol. When the dog was still a puppy, the man started a habit of conserving power and water. The man aimed to maintain the lowest possible monthly power and water costs.

When he leaves the house, he turns off the lights and only briefly opens the refrigerator door to get his meal. He also has water conservation strategies, such as not allowing water to run freely when washing his hands with soap.

It seems like the dog took note and adopted its owner’s habits. The owner did not really teach his dog to mimic his habits on purpose. The dog just imitated the actions his owner normally does around the house.

Sasol is quite an amazing dog because even if it was just a few months old, it already discovered how to switch off the lights like its owner did. The dog was high enough to reach the light switch and turn it off.

Aside from that, when its owner finishes watching television, the dog will not leave until the television is unplugged. The dog would also try to close the refrigerator door if its owner takes too long to close it after getting something from it.

Sawol enjoys being where its owner is anywhere he may be in their home. The dog is often by his side even when he washes his hands. The pet would bark at the owner if he occasionally let the water run while washing his hands.

The dog also learned additional domestic tasks from its owner. Typically, after playing with its owner, Sawol will place its toys in a box. The dog prefers that the house is constantly neat and tidy.

Occasionally, the owner takes Sawol on a walk around the neighborhood. Before leaving, the dog must check all the lights and see if they are turned off. Upon returning home, it will not enter until its owner washes its feet in the bathroom. The dog deliberately avoids making a mess in the house.

The owner is fortunate to have such a dependable dog. However, he occasionally believes that the dog takes better care of the property than he does. But one thing is certain – he enjoys living with Sawol.
