Over the years, dogs developed skills and talents that made them essential members of our communities. Whether providing therapy and emotional support or sniffing out illegal substances and explosives, our canine friends proved that they can handle different roles and responsibilities.
One special sighthound named Bond went viral recently, showing the world that he was the real-life counterpart of Scooby-Doo. This talented doggo’s unique ability in finding ‘ghosts’ aided his owners’ paranormal investigations. Everybody called him ‘Bond the ghost-sniffer.’
Helen and Brian Sterling-Vete, Bond’s owners, were behind the Paranormal Rescue group, where they explored several supernatural cases behind locally-known haunted locations. Since Bond was a sighthound, His strong vision was beneficial since they often went to dark and spooky places.
Before he found his forever home with Helen and Brian, Bond spent a few years as a racing dog. A charity organization named Greyhound Gap rescued him, along with his fellow racers. From living in an animal shelter to sniffing out ghosts, Bond certainly had an exciting turnaround.
When working on a particular case, the couple never forced a reaction from Bond. They brought the pup along and waited to see what happened.
The group once visited an abandoned prison and investigated the reported sightings. When Helen and Bond entered a particular jail cell, the brave pup growled aggressively but then started to choke. Panicking, the couple hastily brought him outside and called the vet, but Bond suddenly felt better once he was outside the dilapidated building.
Recently, they handled a case in Shropshire where reports of several creepy goings-on started to gain attention. Typically, Bond walked and sniffed around for anything unusual. He let his owners know if he detected something strange by running off or creating a scene.
Bond’s popularity rose as their paranormal business grew. The couple used special equipment designed for ghost hunting, but it was Bond’s extraordinary skillset that helped them solve their cases.
