People love doggos for many different reasons, but perhaps among the top ones is the fact that we can depend on our fur babies to do certain tasks for us. Remember that we domesticated our furry best friends because they could help us hunt for food, and they could guard our belongings.
Nowadays, we don’t ask our pet puppers to do much, but wouldn’t it be nice if our doggo could help out with our chores? Fortunately for this dog dad from Ohio, he’s got a pooch that collects the mail for him, and he doesn’t even have to give a verbal command.
This amazing canine is Nova. This 11-month-old pooch was recorded by her human, Gage Elledge, retrieving the mail from a United States Postal Service driver. When Nova approached the USPS truck, her tail was wagging like crazy, suggesting that she was happy to do this task for her dad.
As Nova eagerly waited for the mail, the USPS driver scanned the bars on the envelopes and handed it over to the pooch. He even said some kind words to the doggo, who was pretty excited to grab the mail. This suggests that this isn’t the first time they’ve done this.
When Nova made her way back to her human, she got distracted for a bit, but when her dog dad told her to bring him the mail, the pupper obliged. Nova went straight up the porch walked past her dad. Maybe she’s supposed to place it on a coffee table.
We love how Nova has developed a relationship with the USPS driver. We all know about the perpetual war between doggos and mail carriers and seeing this video is quite refreshing. If only our own pups at home could do the same thing, we’d be happy dog parents! Check out Nova’s viral video below.
